Ditch & Switch

There are plenty of warnings about potentially toxic chemicals in our products today. Do you know how and why you shouldn’t use them? Would you like to know what to look for on labels and how to switch them out for better products? Or other tips to limit your exposure to these unnecessary toxins?

Here a list of synthetic chemicals that I’ve banned from my home and replaced with Young Living items that are not just better, but enhance the health of my loved ones.

  • Propylene Glycol

Alternatives: Make homemade cakes and baked goods! Add an extra egg to a homemade recipe for added moisture.

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate

Alternatives: Use the Thieves line of cleaners, soaps, and toothpastefor a clean and healthy experience!

  • Triclosan

Alternatives: You’ll love the Thieves waterless hand purifier and Thieves spray for on the go and Lavender foaming hand soap at each bathroom sink.

  • Phthlates

Alternatives: Use containers that can be recycled (like paper) and store leftovers in glass with sealing lids. For the babies, invest in the Seedlings line of products for a truly natural, toxin-free nursery.

  • Perchloroethylene (PERC)

Alternatives: In addition to speaking with your dry cleaner about healthier solutions, purchase breathable fabrics that are from natural sources like cotton and linen.

  • Parabens

Alternatives: Replace all of your skincare with the ART skincare system and Young Living lotions like Genesis, Sensation, and Mineral Sunscreen.

  • Fluoride

Alternatives: Our whole family uses the Aroma Bright toothpaste, but Young Living also has the KidScents toothpaste for children. The Thieves Fresh Essence mouthwash also is fluoride free!
